A further 20 days unbroken sailing between the 5th of April and the end of April 1796. A combination of Trade winds, currents and western navigational knowledge of the region send them on an arc Northwest, North then North East. In the middle of this journey they must have crept past the Hawaiian Islands where it was known Captain Cook had been killed and eaten by islanders only 7 years before.
