On the 13^th of February 1794 Thomas aboard the ‘Surprize’ convict ship sails out of the Thames heading for Portsmouth sailing past Margate, Deal, Dover, Dungeness, Beachy Head and Selsey Bill, a sail of a couple of days. 6 weeks later on the 26^th April 1794 and in the company of 200 other ships they all cruise down the Dorset, Devon and Cornish coast reaching Lizard Point at Lands End on the 4^th of May.
